Solar umbrella attracts crowds onlookers

In the fifth grade of Huilong Elementary School, Chen Hao, Zeng Yanjun and Xiao Youhao designed a solar umbrella, which caused many parents to watch it. They installed solar panels on an ordinary umbrella, which could even bring a small fan on cloudy days.

Took this “solar umbrella” and installed four flexible solar panels on the top. The top of the umbrella was cross-shaped and a small magnet was fixed on the opposite side. The wire connecting the four panels protrudes from the opening in the top of the umbrella to connect to a USB connector, and then connects to a small red fan that keeps turning.

This umbrella has little difference in weight compared to an ordinary umbrella, and no battery is installed.

Chen Hao said that their original idea was to solve the issue of mobile phone charging when they were out. After testing, even though yesterday was a cloudy day, this solar umbrella can still provide nearly 6 volts, enough for mobile phone charging.
